The outdoors is a large part of the Scouting program.
The troop plans a campout one weekend every month (even in the winter).
Scouts are encouraged to attend a week long
summer camp scheduled at the end of July and the first
few days of August. The summer camp is held at Seven Ranges Scout Reservation, just southeast
of Canton, Ohio. Older Scouts (13 years old and First Class or above) can
go on a High Adventure trip each year. In the past few years they have
gone canoeing in Canada and backpacking in Virginia and Pennsylvania.
